The Fluent Tab extension does not collect, store, or process any personal data that can be used to identify you personally. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any other personally identifiable information.

• Language Preferences: Your selected target language and difficulty level
• Learning Data: Words you've encountered, marked as learned, or provided feedback on (excluding proper nouns to avoid identifying individuals)
• Usage Statistics: Anonymous aggregated usage data to improve the service
• Extension Version: Version of the extension you're using

2.3 Translation Data

To provide translation services, we temporarily process:

• Original words from web pages you visit (excluding proper nouns)
• Translated words for your target language
• Context information to improve translation accuracy

Important: We do not store proper nouns (names of people, places, organizations) to avoid collecting any potentially identifying information about individuals.

We use the collected information solely to:

• Provide language learning functionality through word replacement
• Sync your preferences and learning progress across devices
• Cache translations to reduce API usage and improve performance
• Analyze usage patterns to improve the service (anonymously)
• Provide customer support when requested

4.1 Translation Services

We use DeepL API for translation services. Words requiring translation are sent to DeepL servers. Please review DeepL's Privacy Policy for their data handling practices.

4.2 No Sale of Data

We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share your data with third parties for commercial purposes.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users' safety.

Your data is stored securely on servers within the European Union to ensure GDPR compliance.

We retain your learning data for as long as you use the service. You can request data deletion at any time.

This website uses minimal cookies for functionality. The browser extension stores data locally in your browser using the Firefox storage API. No tracking cookies are used.
